About the Journal

Indian Journal of Environment & Development (IJED) is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research, knowledge, and innovative solutions at the intersection of environment, sustainable development, technology, society, and economic growth. The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, policymakers, environmental professionals, industry practitioners, and development organizations to share original research and evidence-based perspectives addressing contemporary environmental and developmental challenges.

The journal recognizes that environmental sustainability and human development are closely interconnected. It therefore encourages research that examines the relationships among climate change, natural resources, economic development, public health, technology, energy, biodiversity, urbanization, agriculture, governance, and social well-being.

IJED particularly welcomes research addressing environmental challenges in the Indian and South Asian context, while also encouraging comparative, regional, and globally relevant studies. The journal aims to connect scientific research with practical applications, public policy, institutional decision-making, and sustainable development initiatives.
